KJ McEvoy is a roots, blues and Americana singer-songwriter originally from Dublin, now based in North Wexford. A lifelong musician, his career has taken him from Irish stages to New York City, where he spent eight years living, writing and performing, playing lead guitar with a wide range of bands and artists.
He has toured and recorded extensively with his sister Eleanor McEvoy, and is also known as one half of the acclaimed Americana/Roots duo The Remedy Club. Under that name, and earlier incarnations, the band released five albums to wide critical acclaim and toured consistently throughout Ireland, the UK, Germany and France.
Now embarking on a long-awaited solo chapter, KJ is currently recording a new album that places his songwriting, expressive guitar work and soulful vocal delivery front and centre. Rooted in blues and Americana, the music reflects a lifetime spent following songs wherever they led.
KJ performs solo, as a duo with harmonica player Graham Moore, or with a full band.
